Val-David, A special world to share.

This motto marvellously illustrates the aspirations of the population of this tiny but picturesque village. People, proud to preserve the character and lifestyle of a settlement in tune with nature. Val-David offers an environment in harmony with mother nature. People of culture have chosen to settle within our boundaries. Val-David abounds in summer as well as winter activities, thus, perfectly able to satisfy the tastes of all age groups.

The sporty visitor will find alpine ski slopes, horse riding, rock climbing on Mount Condor and canoe on the beautyfull Rivière du Nord. Dufresne regional park offers magnificient trails for cross country, snow shoes or hiking and the the linear park Le p'tit Train du Nord offers the cyclist a journey all through the Laurentians.

Friends of the arts will be spoiled by a wide array of entertainment, boutiques, craft workshops and exhibitions of major importance such as  1001 Pots (ceramics), Les jardins du précambrien (sculpture), the exibit center La Maison du Village.

Val-David's Summer Market, the forum of food from artisans takes place every Saturday during the summer, and presents a rich selection of biological and traditional products elaborated and prepared in the Laurentian region.

And for the enjoyment of our children, Santa Claus is spending the summer in his village of Val-David.
